woa #5?

i think its number 5....and its due on tuesday. wahooooo! im kinda behindish, but im just planning on staying after school tomorrow to work on it. its gonna be nice on tuesday knowing that i have a concentration piece done too, and only have one more piece to do this month. wahoo! and i feel like eventhough i havent done much with this piece that is done in one day, it wont take very long for me to make it the way i want it. over all im just feelin really good right now about art!!! (and thats kinda been a struggle for me...) its nice.

this upcoming week...

i am super excited to get started on my concentration this week. im starting out with something a little easier, and i think i may be able to get alot of it finished by the end of this week. im also including the work of art assignment into my concentration piece as well, so it will be nice to kill two birds with one stone and make this month a little easier for me. i feel like my concentration topic is pretty flexible as well, and i dont think its gonna be super hard to keep incorporating the work of arts into my pieces. im just feeling very good about art right now. YAYY!

family art history

so...my grandpa has always told me this, but i never really thought about it much until now, but my grandpa's cousin is  great artist!!! his name is hulan fleming and my grandparents have his pieces everywhere in their house. i was over there tonight and really looking at them, and realized just how amazing they are.

this week...

so im pretty sure im pulling an all nighter tonight. lets just say im not very far on my self portrait. haha!

but im super excited for this week. we have alot to do i feel, but when its done we are gonna feel so accomplished with concentrations thought of and getting everything sorted out in our brains for the rest of the year! so as stressful as it will be with thinking about concentrations and getting our breadth section together and self portraits and hats due, it is gonna feel so nice getting all of this out of the way and ready to start on our portfolios. im just really excited. wahoo!!

FIELD TRIP!!

so on the lighter note, i loved the field trip that we went on. i never thought i was good at photography, and didnt really know what i was doing, but i ended up with some REALLY cool shots (and photoshop is also a huge help). haha

my favorite place was by far luscher (i dont know how to spell it) farms...here are some of my pics from that wonderful place:

Great Weekend...

...not really. haha!

friday i had to wake up at 8 and go to volleyball practice, and come home and help my mom clean the house for three hours...not fun. then i went over to anna engstrom's house and we ate, and both ended up falling asleep. not mush of a hangout sesh.

saturday i had to take the SAT's early in the morning, and right from there, go to a volleyball tournament that i didn't get to play in. after the tournament i had to go to dinner at my grandma's and fell sleep at the dinner table.

and today i got on my computer to make a blog comment and post and i found out that my last two comments had not posted. i get really stressed about that kind of stuff, especially because it has to do with my grade in this class. so now i've just been freakin' out all day up in my room doing homework and stressing about art.

haha! soooooo...that was my little emo, venting moment...i'm glad i could share:)

Inspiration

polaroid pictures absolutely fascinate me. there is something so creepy, yet so beautiful about them. im most inspired by art that is old and dark, and polaroid pictures totally have that going for them. i have yet to invest in a polariod camera, but i am hoping to very soon. i would like to have polariod photos (or at least how they look- coloring, and mood) be an inspiration for my concentration somehow. im still trying to figure out who i am as an artist, but i think i've almost got it. i know what i love about art, it's just making all the pieces look like products of paige that i need to work on. i do believe, however that i am getting there. im going to make a list, right now, of all the things that fascinate and inspire me as an artist...tootles!
